La randonnée des carrières, le 13 novembre 2022

Par une belle matinée fraiche, un groupe peu commun mélangé de Français, de Portugais, d'Italiens et d'Espagnols s'élance pour une randonnée de toute beauté. Et croyez-moi ou non, le Capitaine Cousteau était avec nous, preuves photos à l'appui!

Je vous laisse le soin de vérifier mes propos dans la galerie ci-dessous.

L'itinéraire à permis aux participants de découvrir le charmant village de Saint-Vaast-lès-Mello, son église du XIe siècle, ses lavoirs et ses maisons troglodytes.

Direction ensuite le marais de Chantraine, ancienne gravière devenue depuis une Zone Naturelle d'Intérêt écologique Faunistique et Floristique. L'émerveillement sur la beauté du site était au rendez-vous.

Est venu ensuite une halte vers le superbe panorama des Carrières De Saint-Vaast-lès-Mello avec explications sur l'histoire du site.

L'heure passant, les estomacs criants famines, il était temps de se rendre au charmant hameau de Barisseuse ou le pique-nique eut lieu dans la joie et la bonne humeur.

Retour ensuite par champs et forêts vers Saint-Vaast-lès-Mello, au lieu de notre rendez-vous du matin.

Merci à l'ensemble des participants pour leur gentillesse et leur bonne humeur, et particulièrement au Commandant Cousteau qui a assumé sonr rôle de serre-fil avec beaucoup de professionnalisme!
